Did not care for this one. Most things were rushed. Things didn't make sense. It says they move around a lot because the bad guy keeps finding them and burning them out of their home. Yet, when she arrives in town she has so much stuff it takes many of the old characters several hours to move her into her new rental home. The hero stays two hours after everyone else to help her. Apparently she has a lot of books also. Yet, later in the story it says she has nothing because of the arsonist burning everything up.The other thing that may be a small thing but it is a pet peeve of mine. I don't like it when the heroine on the cover does not look like the character in the book. The women on the cover has long blond hair and the character in the book describes her hair as a messy red mop. Like I said, It's a small thing, but it irked me.
I loved all of the other books but just not this one. It had a good plot it just seemed like a mess. Probably as messy as this review. As you can see I'm no writer, but I know what I like.

Loved every minute of it. My only complaint is that I couldn't put it down to go to sleep.
As with all the other Otter Creek books, I loved it. I liked how the author wove together Heidi and Quinn’s story with another chapter in Ethan and Serena’s story.

Although, it appears falling in love with complete strangers based on one's unreliable heart is the M.O.D of these characters. Good luck with that in the real world . It cannot be trusted Jer.179
This was a awesome book. I liked the mystery of it. You really don't get hints about who did it until they tell you. That part I didn't like. I prefer to try to figure it out myself for me that is the fun part. But it was a great book none the less. It was also clean which I love!!
I keep buying Deel's books hoping to find one as good as the first Otter Creek story but unfortunately the author no longer writes about the Christian Testimonies of her characters which is such a shame.
There is absolutely nothing in this to inspire the reader to live a better life.
Another great book from Rebecca Deel in her Otter Creek series. Quinn and Heidi made a great couple. Heidi's background was tragic which placed her in danger through much of her life. She and a cousin remained on the run changing their names several times trying to outrun an arsonist. Finally her cousin called in a favor and that led them to Fortress Security and Quinn. Heidi knew Quinn as a kid, but came to love him as a women. Join them as they hunt for an arsonist and solve the kidnapping and murder of Heidi's sister. Also, it was great that Blackhawk and Serena were part of a secondary story in the book. It was great to catch up with them.
Yikes this book was intense! It brought characters and incidences from book one in the series, as well as new characters and stories.
First off, I love that with each book we get to be with other characters we know and love from Otter Creek. I enjoy how they all interconnect and there were some sweet tender moments in this book.
The romance and suspense between the two main characters, Quinn and Heidi, is intense. There were moments where I literally got chills and a little spooked by everything that happened. I liked Heidi especially and her spunk. She has a great sense of humor and yet takes a stand when needed.
Time for another book in this wonderful series!!!!
