This is a very well written book with riveting, and extremely endearing characters. It was nice to read Zack and Pace's story along with some of the other people from, Two Spirit Ranch (my favorite parts). They do need a bit more chill time, to me, since there are so many evil humans in this story and they're either hurt or fighting for their lives. I really do wish that the threats were more fantasy based, instead of the plot being so close to what really happens in a lot of small or big towns, because this had me cringing so much of the time (with anger). It's difficult for me to read about the characters I love so much being tortured or shot by human monsters. Other than that, I loved the romance portion of the story and the activities that occurred on Joe's ranch. I totally loved how they handled the mayor, just saying. =)
